Santana is a lovely girl who is timid to begin, but warms up very quickly. She has suffered a neglectful past and is looking for some humans that will be patient in her growth in our everyday world. She can be skittish to loud noises and fast movements, so a quiet home without small children would be best for her, in order for her to bloom into the confident young lady she is looking to be. Santana loves to play with toys, and enjoys her choice of stuffy toys and ropes to keep herself occupied. She LOVES her Kong. She has been mostly independent in her ways, but as she warms up to her handler more she has become more affectionate and trusting toward people. She would be best placed as the only pet, or with a calm, unreactive dog as she will need someone to dedicate time her to growth and training. She would make an amazing companion, and loves to go for trail walks and hikes.

This pretty pittie is incredibly loving and sweet, and though despite an abusive past she has all the love in the world to offer. Janis shares just the same ambition as her name sake: to be loved and understood. She would be perfect in a home with a family who is home often, or maybe even works from home. She loves to play with other dogs and wouldn't mind having a companion to share her home with. She loves to explore and go for hikes with her foster mom and would love to be able to stay active when she goes with her forever family.

Check out this beautiful girl. Hailing all the way from Dallas, Texas--Wilma is looking for a forever home in New England. She is just under a year old and gets along well with other dogs. She has lived in a home with kids previously but older, calmer kids would be best suited for her. She is very sweet and is house broken, and has almost mastered crate training! We aren't sure what she's going to think of the north...but we're going to make it the best thing to ever happen to her.

Jolene is a very sweet and loving senior girl who would love a comfy and quiet home to hang low in. She enjoys lots of attention and doesn't seem to mind the company of other dogs. She came into the shelter with her companion, Joss, who is also adoptable--and though it is not required, it would be an absolute dream if these girls could find a home together. Both are quiet, calm girls who will show you endless amounts of love and appreciation for giving them a safe and loving home.

Jolene and Joss are both heartworm positive and will spend the next couple of months in a Florida foster home getting healthy enough for adoption. They would love to have homes to come north to!

Joss is a 2 year old female hound/pit mix. She weighs about 50 pounds. She is very loving and good with other dogs and walks decently on a leash. Joss would love a quiet home where she can hang close with her human, and wouldn't mind sharing it with another dog. Joss came into the shelter with her friend Jolene, and they seem to enjoy each others company. It isn't required that they be adopted together...but we think it would be a dream for them to be able to stay together. She wonders what it will be like to be spoiled rotten? Want to make this girls dreams come true?

Florence is a lovely older gal who is looking for a calm and quiet home to relax in. She wouldn't mind sharing her home with other dogs and would enjoy being apart of a family setting. She would also make the perfect dog for an older couple looking for a calm senior to give lots of love and snuggles. We are sure she wouldn't mind a short hike occasionally, but we think she would prefer to take it easy at home with her humans.

Hey guys, I’m Louis! I am already microchipped, neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs. I like to think of myself as a handsome 1 year old male bulldog/boxer mix. The ladies keep saying how I have these beautiful green eyes. I’m a friendly boy! I love to be around people and other dogs. If it were up to me, I’d really like a friendly companion to share a home with and maybe run around and play with lots...that would be nice. My foster humans think I’m a nice dog and a joy to have around.

Lance is a sweet boy who has overcome a sad and cruel past. This southern charmer is about 3 years old and 60 pounds. He currently shares his foster home with a cat and another dog. He would prefer a polite, not too in-your-face friend if he had to choose one, but he also wouldn't mind being the only dog to get all of the spoils. Lance is housebroken and has excellent leash skills. He would make a great family pet and an even better best friend.

Syd is a sweet 1-2 year old mixed breed boy who is looking for his forever home. He gets along well with other dogs and has a fun and goofy personality. He would love to have an active home where his humans will take him on fun rides and adventures. He is social and would make a great addition to a loving family.

This southern bell is 5-6 months old and is so happy to be up north. She is young and would love an active home with other dogs. She is very smart and loves to please. She is working on her basic commands and is picking it up very quickly. Even though she is playful, she also knows just the right time to cuddle. Who could resist kisses and snuggles from this sweet girl?

Harley is a loving mixed breed girl who would make an excellent companion. She is open to hanging with you while you do your thing around the house, including sitting bath side while you relax in the tub. She is cat friendly and loves spending time with other dogs. She would be ideal in a home with a companion, or as a family dog to get lots of love and attention.

This sweet man is so full of love. At about 5 years old, he is deaf and would prefer a quiet, calm home where he can relax and feel like he is finally at home. He would love to find a family that will spend time relaxing with him. An adopter with experience owning or working with a deaf dog would be preferred, but this cutie has adapted and would do well in a home who is willing to learn with him.

This girl is a 3 year old lab mix and is sisters with Bianca. She is light heartworm positive and is currently getting treatment. She was rescued from a cruelty case in the south. Her and her sister don't understand human affection and will need help with socialization. Sierra and her sister, Bianca, are a bonded pair. These two have depended on each other their whole lives and would be happiest living together in their forever home. She just needs someone to show her what a real home is. This sweet lady is about 2-3 years old and can't wait to find her forever home. She is loving and wants to find a family who will love her as much as she will love them. She deserves to be spoiled rotten. Taylor passed her cat test and would do well sharing her home with a cat, and another friendly playmate. She would also do well as the only dog.

Devandra hasn't had the greatest life previous to being rescued, but he is eager to be loved and be apart of a family. He would love a quiet home where he can feel comfortable and learn the luxury of being loved and spoiled with someone who will take the time and be understanding that it may take him some time to acclimate to his new life. With a little love and TLC, this guy will learn what it means to be a pet and not just a dog left to fend for himself.

This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! She is good with other dogs, and children. She loves attention and can't wait to find her forever family. She has lived a life before us that we can't quite imagine, but we are here to turn it all around from her. With a little love and TLC, she will be even more beautiful then she already is.

This blue-eyed beauty is looking for her forever home. Norma Jean gets along well with other friendly dogs and wouldn't mind sharing her home with another companion. This sweet lady wants to love and be loved. Norma Jean would make a loving companion and best friend.

This sweet boy is estimated to be about a year old. He is sweet and loving, but he also enjoys running, playing, and loves his toys. He has played off leash with large confident dogs, but has a high prey drive. He would not do well with small dogs, cats, or timid/shy dogs. Mason can't wait to find his forever family! Do you think this sweet boy would be the perfect fit for your family?

Skellington is a loving boy who is ready to be in his forever home. He is a sweet and loves to snuggle. When we first came across Skellington in a high kill shelter, we immediately suspected he had some sort of mange, or heartworm disease even. After both a negative skin scrape and heartworm test, the vet determined that his hair loss and poor skin was simply from living in such poor conditions. With a little love and TLC, he will be back to good in no time. Do you want to be the family to love him forever?
